Bruce Behn, CPA, Ph.D.
Dr. Behn joined the faculty after completing his doctorate at Arizona State University. He has an MBA from Arizona State University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Prior to obtaining his Ph.D., Dr. Behn worked for Rockwell International in The Netherlands as the international financial coordinator, for Allen-Bradley Company as controller and financial analyst, and for KPMG Peat Marwick as senior auditor. He teaches financial statement analysis and performance management in the UT Executive and Physician Executive MBA programs. He also teaches in various UT management development programs and in the business core of the Master of Accountancy program. Dr. Behn has been the recipient of a number of teaching and advising awards. He has also consulted with several companies including, most recently, the Heartland Medical, Urology Specialty Care, Teledyne Brown Engineering, and Knoxville Utility Board. He is also a member of the board of directors of MD Vision. Dr. Behn has published articles in the Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, and the Journal of Accountancy.
