Charles Noon , Ph.D.
Dr. Noon received his Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. He joined UT in 1987 and is Professor in the Department of Management. Dr. Noon's research and teaching interests include operations management, business modeling, and decision analysis. His papers in these areas have appeared in Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Transportation Science, and Networks & Spatial Economics. His recent projects involve supply chain optimization modeling for Philips Consumer Electronics, and the development of computer-based decision support systems for the Tennessee Valley Authority, Lockheed-Martin Energy Systems and the Electric Power Research Institute. Dr. Noon has been the recipient of several teaching awards and was recently awarded the 2000 Gregory Dobbins Outstanding Teacher and Research Award of the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration.
